Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a significant issue studied via traditional methods.
Existing research often uses qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods.

Purpose of the Study:

To introduce two basic stochastic models for simulating couple dynamics at risk of IPV.
To explore short-term and long-term behavioral changes within couples.
To analyze the impact of environmental perceptions on IPV.

Main Methods:

Development of two discrete-time stochastic models.
Modeling individuals within a couple as having finite states with probabilistic transitions.
Analysis of couple evolution in isolation and in response to perceived environmental violence or social support.

Perceived high violence in other couples can lead to gender-specific IPV transmission.
