Abstract:
Protein C and Protein S are vitamin K dependent clotting factors. The importance of these proteins in the haemostatic process was recognized when deficiencies of Protein C and Protein S were detected that were associated with thromboembolic disorders. In this review the function of Protein C and Protein S in the haemostatic process is described.
