The effect of gadolinium-based contrast agents on rat testis

Repeated use of gadolinium-based contrast agents (GBCAs) can harm rat testes, increasing cell death and lowering testosterone. Both linear and macrocyclic GBCAs showed toxic effects on testicular tissue.
