Summary

Routine patch testing for phenol-formaldehyde resin allergy is improved by adding a resol resin (P-F-R-2) alongside the paratertiary-butylphenol-formaldehyde resin (PTBP-F-R). This approach significantly increases the diagnosis of contact allergies to these common resins.
