Summary

Type IV laryngotracheoesophageal clefts, a rare congenital defect, can present with varied symptoms, not always severe respiratory distress. Early recognition is key for managing this high-morbidity condition.

  • Diverse presentations necessitate a broad differential diagnosis.

  • Clinical suspicion for LTEC should be maintained even with subtle symptoms.
  • Further research into LTEC diagnostic and management strategies is warranted.
