Chronic Pulmonary Silicone Embolism from Breast Augmentation Is Not a Common Finding in Explanted Lungs

This study found no evidence of chronic pulmonary silicone embolism in female lung transplant recipients with breast augmentation. Breast augmentation does not appear to significantly contribute to lung diseases requiring transplantation.
