    Summary

    Congenital bilateral eyelid eversion, a rare condition, can be successfully managed conservatively. This case highlights effective non-surgical treatment for eyelid eversion and chemosis in a newborn.

    Background:

    • Congenital bilateral eyelid eversion is a rare condition presenting at birth, primarily affecting the upper eyelids.
    • Higher incidence observed in Black males, infants with trisomy 21, and collodion infants.
    • Pathogenic mechanisms underlying this condition are not fully understood.

    Observation:

    • A late preterm female infant presented with congenital bilateral eyelid eversion and significant chemosis.
    • The condition affected both upper eyelids.

    Findings:

    • Conservative management, including eye patching and topical treatments, led to successful resolution.
    • Successful resolution of both eyelid eversion and chemosis was achieved without surgical intervention.
