Assessment of functional defecation disorders using anorectal manometry

Anorectal manometry (ARM) shows limited accuracy in diagnosing functional constipation (FC) and functional defecation disorder (FDD). However, the Manometric Defecation Index (MDI) effectively differentiates FDD in FC patients.
