    Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) variants ACTH4-10 and Org 2766 show similar nerve growth effects but differ in behavioral outcomes. ACTH4-10 did not reduce hyperemotionality or alter septal reactions, unlike Org 2766.

    Background:

    • Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) analogs are investigated for their effects on nerve regeneration and behavior.
    • Specific ACTH fragments, like ACTH4-10 and the Org 2766 variant, are known to influence neural processes.

    • To compare the effects of ACTH4-10 and Org 2766 on hyperemotionality and septal reactions in rats with septal area damage.
    • To determine if similar peripheral nerve regeneration effects correlate with comparable behavioral outcomes.
