Summary

Individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss can effectively self-adjust hearing aid settings for improved speech intelligibility. This study shows self-adjustment is feasible and beneficial, regardless of prior hearing aid experience, leading to better speech intelligibility index (SII) outcomes.
