    Elastosis, a common finding in breast cancer, is rarely reported in large-bowel carcinomas. This study describes elastosis in various other cancers, including prostate, gastric, and cervical carcinomas.

    Background:

    • Elastosis is frequently observed in infiltrating ductal and lobular breast carcinomas, present in about 90% of cases.
    • It is also a recognized feature in certain benign breast lesions and salivary gland tumors.

    Observation:

    • Venous elastosis associated with large-bowel carcinomas is infrequently documented.
    • This study reports on the presence of elastosis in individual cases of other malignancies.

    Findings:

    • Elastosis was identified in single instances of prostatic carcinoma.
    • The study also observed elastosis in gastric, bronchiolar-alveolar, and cervical carcinomas.

    Implications:

    • The findings expand the known associations of elastosis beyond breast cancer.
