Abstract:
Specific 3H-naloxone binding with isolated rat enterocytes has been demonstrated. This binding was selectively inhibited by different opiates and proved to be irreversible, temperature-dependent and sodium azide-sensitive. The presence of naloxone binding sites on enterocytes indicates a possible involvement of opiates in the regulation of enterocyte functions.
