Abstract:
The convergent synthesis of the iso-Leukotriene B4 (XVI) (as diastereoisomeric mixture with the desired geometry), by Wittig's condensation of the two precursor synthons at 6 (VI) and 14 C (XIV), starting from the common cyclic acrylaldehyde dimer (I), is reported.
