Changes in adrenoreceptor density in brown adipose tissue from hyperthyroid rats.

Summary

Triiodothyronine (T3) treatment increased brown adipose tissue (BAT) and heart mass in rats. T3 significantly stimulated beta-adrenoreceptor numbers in both tissues, impacting the alpha-to-beta receptor ratio, particularly in the heart.
