He is now a senior lecturer in the Department of Health Systems Management at Ariel University in Israel. In the Israel Ministry of Health in Jerusalem, Israel, Udi Gelbshtein is director of the PA program, Idit Segal is acting deputy director of medical affairs, and Eyal Jacobson is director general chief of staff. The authors have disclosed no potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise.
Israel established its physician assistant profession in 2017, graduating its first class focused on emergency medicine. Future plans include expanding the program to anesthesiology and pathology.
