Background:

  • Pay-for-performance (P4P) is a strategy to enhance healthcare quality.
  • This study evaluated the cost-effectiveness of P4P for implementing the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA) for adolescent substance use disorders (SUDs).

Purpose of the Study:

  • To examine the incremental cost-effectiveness of a P4P strategy in improving the implementation and effectiveness of A-CRA.
  • To assess the impact of P4P on therapist competence and patient outcomes in SUD treatment.
