Amoebiasis in Iran: a systematic review and meta-analysis

A meta-analysis found amoebiasis prevalence in Iran is low, around 1%. The non-pathogenic Entamoeba dispar is most common, though Entamoeba histolytica was more frequent in patients with gastrointestinal issues. Public health interventions are suggested for less developed areas.
