Abstract:
Nanoparticles with controllable sizes of ferrite spinel CoFe₂O₄ were formed by thermal treatment of cobalt-iron glycerolate. Thermal behavior during the heating was studied by differential thermal analysis combined with thermogravimetry. The precursor, as well as the prepared nanoparticles, were analyzed by a broad spectrum of analytic techniques (X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), Atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Raman spectroscopy). The particle size of nanoparticles was obtained from Transmission electron microscopy and also calculated using Scherrer formula. A vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) in a Physical Property Measurement System was used to analyze the magnetic properties of nanoparticles.

Dehydration Synthesis
Dehydration synthesis (also called a condensation reaction) is the chemical process in which two molecules covalently link together to form a new molecule, along with the release of a water molecule. Many physiologically important compounds form by dehydration synthesis reactions, such as complex carbohydrates, proteins, DNA, and RNA.
Synthesis of carbohydrates
Sugar molecules are covalently linked together by dehydration synthesis. During the reaction, the hydroxyl (-OH) group from...

Lagging Strand Synthesis
There are several major differences between synthesis of the leading strand and synthesis of the lagging strand. 1) Leading strand synthesis happens in the direction of replication fork opening, whereas lagging strand synthesis happens in the...
