Genomoviruses associated with mountain and western pine beetles

Six new species of circular single-stranded DNA viruses, called genomoviruses, were discovered in pine beetles. Some of these novel viruses exhibit genetic recombination, suggesting complex interactions within their insect and fungal hosts.
