Summary

Disposable radiation-absorbing surgical drapes significantly reduce operator radiation dose during transjugular liver biopsy (TJLB). This study found a 56% decrease in radiation exposure for interventionalists using these specialized drapes.

Background:

  • Radiation-absorbing drapes represent a valuable tool for radiation protection in interventional radiology.
