[Various problems in the pathogenesis and surgical treatment of patients with hypercortisolism]

Based on an analysis of clinical and laboratory data, results of histological examination of removed adrenals and tumors of the cortical layer as well as an assessment of the functional state of the hypothalamo-hypophyseal-adrenal system in 132 patients the authors discuss some debatable questions of pathogenesis and selection of methods of treatment of the disease known as the Icenko--Cushing disease and syndrome.
