Testosterone regulates myosin II isoforms expression and functional activity in the rat prostate

Testosterone (T) regulates smooth muscle myosin II (SMM II) and non-muscle myosin II (NMM II) in the rat prostate. Testosterone ablation decreases prostate size and alters smooth muscle tone.
