Summary

Endothelial dysfunction characterizes retinal vasculopathy with cerebral leukoencephalopathy and systemic manifestations (RVCL-S), while impaired vascular smooth muscle function is seen in cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL). These findings offer insights into small vessel diseases.
