Mucus-forming MUC5AC is crucial in KRAS-mutant lung adenocarcinoma (ADC). Reducing Muc5ac levels in mice significantly decreased KRAS-driven lung ADC, suggesting MUC5AC as a potential therapeutic target for this aggressive cancer.
