A transcriptome-based resolution for a key taxonomic controversy in Cupressaceae

This study used transcriptome data to resolve conifer evolutionary relationships, finding strong support for the (Hesperocyparis-Callitropsis-Xanthocyparis, (Juniperus, Cupressus)) clade. Rapid divergence and incomplete lineage sorting explain previous phylogenetic conflicts.
