Age-related changes affecting the cricoarytenoid joint seen on computed tomography

Older adults show increased cricoarytenoid joint ankylosis and narrowing, detectable via computed tomography (CT). This suggests CT is valuable for diagnosing vocal fold issues in elderly patients with dysphonia.
