Summary

Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) treatment can cause early retinal changes. Multifocal electroretinograms (mfERGs) and spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) detected these alterations before significant vision loss occurred in patients with rheumatic diseases.
