A new nanoporous carbon material derived from porous aromatic framework-6 (PAF-6) was developed for solid-phase microextraction (SPME). This PAF-6 derived nanoporous carbon (PAF-6-NPC) fiber efficiently detects n-alkanes in water and soil samples.
