  • A cohort of 173 children with ADHD and 199 controls were recruited from 43 Melbourne schools.
  • Parent- and teacher-reported PV data were collected using the Social Experience Questionnaire.
  • Child, family, and school factors were assessed at baseline to identify predictors.

  • Children with ADHD reported significantly higher levels of both overt and relational peer victimization (PV).

  • Identifying and addressing conduct problems and considering medication effects are important for mitigating PV in children with ADHD.
  • Early intervention for PV can reduce further impairment in children with ADHD.
