Immunomodulation by testosterone and corticosterone in toads: Experimental evidences from transdermal application

Acute corticosterone (CORT) in male toads hastened inflammatory resolution and suppressed innate immune responses. Testosterone (T) did not significantly impact immune variables, suggesting CORT plays a key role in anuran immune modulation.
