Anti-c-Mpl antibodies in Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) patients indicate a poorer prognosis and reduced response to thrombopoietin receptor agonist treatment. These antibodies may represent a therapeutic target for ITP management.

- IgG from anti-c-Mpl antibody-positive and -negative ITP patients was used in in vitro assays to evaluate megakaryocyte proliferation, polyploidy, apoptosis, and platelet release in response to rhTPO.

- Anti-c-Mpl antibodies may serve as a predictive biomarker for rhTPO treatment unresponsiveness.
- Targeting anti-c-Mpl antibodies could represent a novel therapeutic strategy for ITP.
