    Background:

    • Small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) remains a challenging diagnosis with limited treatment options.
    • Combined modality treatment, integrating chemotherapy and radiotherapy, is a standard approach for SCLC.
    • Evaluating novel therapeutic strategies is crucial for improving patient survival and outcomes.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To assess the efficacy of prophylactic cranial irradiation, immunotherapy, and etoposide in previously untreated SCLC patients.
    • To compare different treatment regimens within a combined modality framework.
    • To identify optimal chemotherapy combinations for SCLC management.

    • Four clinical trials involving 528 previously untreated SCLC patients were analyzed.
