Early vascular parameters in the micro- and macrocirculation in type 2 diabetes

Type 2 diabetes (T2DM) leads to vascular disease. Early signs include retinal capillary rarefaction (intercapillary distance), reduced kidney function (eGFR), and increased central pulse pressure (cPP), detectable before other vascular changes.
