Tubular dysfunction in extremely low birth weight survivors

Extremely low birth weight (ELBW) survivors frequently experience kidney tubular dysfunction. While some issues improve with age, others persist or worsen over time, indicating long-term renal health concerns.

Purpose of the Study:

Conclusions:
- Renal tubular dysfunction is highly prevalent among extremely low birth weight (ELBW) survivors.
- While some tubular abnormalities may resolve with maturation, others can be persistent or progressive, highlighting the need for long-term renal monitoring.
