Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) showed greater reductions in self-harm and emotional dysregulation compared to Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT) over 12 months for borderline personality disorder (BPD). Further research is needed to confirm long-term effectiveness.
