Colonic small cell undifferentiated carcinoma: a distinct pathological diagnosis with therapeutic implications
The American Journal of Gastroenterology
|April 1, 1987
Abstract:
A case of metastatic primary small cell undifferentiated carcinoma of the colon responding to combination chemotherapy is reported. A review of small cell undifferentiated carcinoma of the gastrointestinal tract with attention to the colon is discussed. Recommendations for the management of this rare neoplasm are presented based on its similarity to the more common bronchogenic small cell undifferentiated carcinoma.
