    Background:

    • Patient-Management Problems (PMP) are underutilized in Tunisian medical education.
    • Limited data exists on PMP effectiveness and student perception in Tunisia.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the educational value of PMP learning sessions in pediatrics.
    • To assess student perceptions regarding PMP use for learning and evaluation.

    Main Methods:

    • A cross-sectional study was conducted in four pediatric departments.
    • Students participated in electronic PMP learning sessions.
    • Knowledge was assessed via pre- and post-tests; perceptions via questionnaire.

    Main Results:

    • Post-test scores significantly improved compared to pre-test scores (p <0.001).
    • Over 90% of students found PMPs useful for learning and agreed to their regular use.
    • While 79% viewed PMPs as reliable assessment tools, 75% found them more stressful than other methods.

    Conclusions:

    • PMPs are an effective and well-accepted learning tool in pediatrics.
    • Generalizing PMP use across disciplines for teaching and evaluation is recommended.
    • Training for medical educators is crucial for quality PMP implementation.
