MRI surveillance for local recurrence in extremity soft tissue sarcoma

Routine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) surveillance effectively detects clinically undetectable local recurrences (LRs) in extremity soft tissue sarcoma (STS), particularly smaller or mass-less tumors in the thigh or buttock. This early detection may improve patient outcomes.
