  • Pad-based boxing training is more physiologically demanding, leading to higher cardiovascular and metabolic responses.
  • Punch bag training imposes greater mechanical loads, with higher PlayerLoad metrics, especially in the lower back.
  • These findings have significant implications for designing periodized boxing-specific conditioning programs that target both physiological and mechanical adaptations.
