Conclusion:
Molecular neuropathology has influenced the reclassification of low-grade gliomas and, as such, has provided patient-specific treatments with improving outcomes.
Implications For Nursing Practice:
Nurses play a key role in patient education and communication with the patient's interdisciplinary care team. Understanding the molecular neuropathology that determine treatment recommendations and in turn recognizing and identifying complications provides improved patient/caregiver satisfaction and outcomes.
