Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) frequently causes lower urinary tract symptoms, primarily due to detrusor hyperactivity with impaired contraction (DHIC) and detrusor-sphincter dyssynergia (DSD). These findings guide patient care, including intermittent catheterization.
