This study optimized pectin extraction from sunflower heads using Artificial Neural Network coupled with genetic algorithm (ANN-GA), achieving a high yield of 29.1%. The ANN-GA model demonstrated superior prediction efficiency compared to Response Surface Methodology (RSM).
