    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the diagnostic value of T and B lymphocyte quantification in pleural fluid.
    • To compare lymphocyte levels in pleural fluid versus peripheral blood across various conditions.
    • To assess the utility of these markers in the differential diagnosis of pleural effusions.

    Main Methods:

    • Surface marker analysis was used to identify and quantify T and B lymphocytes.
    • Peripheral blood and pleural fluid samples were analyzed from 30 patients.

    • Lymphocyte subset analysis in pleural fluid holds diagnostic significance for various pleural diseases.
    • This method may improve the diagnostic accuracy for complex pleural effusions.
