Bevacizumab effectively reduces cardiac adhesions after initial surgery by inhibiting vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced angiogenesis, as shown by decreased CD-31 expression. This treatment offers a promising approach to mitigate risks in future cardiac operations.
