Hepatic HKDC1 Expression Contributes to Liver Metabolism

Hexokinase domain-containing 1 (HKDC1) in liver cells impairs mitochondrial function and alters metabolism. Its elevated expression is linked to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) progression.
