Galectins-1 and-3 Increase in Equine Post-traumatic Osteoarthritis

Galectins-1 and -3 are present in healthy horse joints and increase after injury in osteoarthritis. Healthy cartilage has galectin-3, while injured cartilage shows more galectin-1 in chondrocytes.
