Abnormal Pouchogram Predicts Pouch Failure Even in Asymptomatic Patients.

- Pouchography is valuable in identifying ulcerative colitis patients at higher risk for postoperative complications following IPAA.
- Radiologic evidence of leak resolution on pouchography does not reliably predict successful anastomotic healing.
- Caution is advised when interpreting pouchography results, particularly in patients with evidence of extravasation.
