Quantification of rheumatic mitral stenosis severity with three-dimensional vena contracta area

Three-dimensional (3D) echocardiography mitral valve vena contracta area (VCA) shows high correlation with mitral valve area (MVA) in rheumatic mitral stenosis (MS). This finding suggests 3D VCA can aid in assessing rheumatic MS severity.
