Do we need day-1 postoperative follow-up after cataract surgery?

Routine first postoperative day (POD1) follow-up visits after uncomplicated cataract surgery are not supported by current literature. Eliminating this visit can save healthcare costs without increasing patient risk, especially with proper topical steroid and glaucoma medication use.
