Leukocyte-Derived Interleukin-10 Aggravates Postoperative Ileus

Interleukin-10 (IL-10) deficiency ameliorates postoperative ileus (POI) by reducing neutrophil infiltration into the gut. Monocyte-derived IL-10 normally promotes this infiltration, making it a potential therapeutic target for POI.
